Story 250
An Ode to a Toad
Wharton was an inspiration to
every toad whose abode was a pond
by the side of the road.
His splash bode happiness and it clearly showed. For on all the frog
faces, smiles glowed. It was – indeed - good will that he sowed!
His personal code made him carry more than just his load, for from his
heart love flowed. In troubled waters he often rowed his lily frond,
through the breakers of their pond, to rescue many a discommoded
toad.
