Story 268

              Rose

In summer, Rose usually arose, several hours after the sun rose. Near
the days cloze, she would dress in gardening clothes, to work her

garden with a water hose, never raking hoes.

Soon finished, she would get herself into a comfortable pose,to watch

some TV shows. And soon again she would find greater repose and

               begin to doze.

               Change: cloze for close.

              Story 269

                                        Had He Known

The cowboy should have known, not to ride the full-

grown bucking roan, because sky high he was thrown.

When he landed, he bellowed a loud groan. For four hours he

               could do nothing but moan.

A whole week went by before his ill fate was finally known:

soon he'd join his dead wife Joan.
