                                                      The Goths

Centuries ago there lived a Germanic race called the Visigoths,

known also as the Ostrogoths or merely the Goths. The Romans

said that the Goths were bar•bar•i•ans – lazy sloths.

This so angered the Goths that it filled their hearts with wroth.

The Goths turned into “mad men” spewing froth. Soon one after

another Roman fell by the swaths of the be•sworded Goths.

                                                       Albert Knox

Albert Knox catches salmon, called lox, and sells them frozen by

the box. He grows cotton to make socks, and raises hogs

                       es•pe•cial•ly for hocks.

To till his fields he uses a bull ox. He keeps a few gamecocks

too, because they protect his chickens from fox and are more

de•pend•a•ble than the best alarm clocks.
