                                                                                                      Story 243

                                               Fraught with Trickiness

The teacher said, “Class, I’m ready to teach, if you’re ready to be taught.

“We ought to start with “ought,” usually spelled ought but sometimes aught.

Likewise, nought – meaning nothing – may be spelled nought or naught.

“Never say catched for caught. Never say buyed for bought, nor brung for

brought, nor fighted fought. However, you may say either worked or wrought.

                                            For Santa Claus

                                                 Because

To give gifts to the Mc Graws

And to others who keep their momma’s laws
