        Story 252

                                                    The Lazy Bloke

The lazy bloke before noon never awoke. The rest of the

day he drank case after case of coke and blew rings of

cig•a•rette smoke, so many so that he would nearly choke.

He said, "It isn't a joke! Work makes me want to croak,

par•a•lyz%ing me as if by a stroke. Never, I say, will I be

                       under anyone's yoke."

Thus, it's no surprise that this lazy bloke was nearly

                       always broke.

        Story 253

                                                      Under The Oak

When the rain fell not one of the folk had on a rain cloak. Yet

nobody croaked, 'cause nobody got soaked.

They stoked up a fire under an oak, where they sat happily
drinking their coke and munching egg yolk and hearts of

                       ar•ti•choke.
