                                                 As the Band Crooned
In June, on a sand dune under a full moon, a band called "The Buffoons" played
a Looney tune that made the jejune girls swoon.
Being en•rap•tured, June forgot her lunch of prunes. They were soon seen by a
raccoon, a long-billed loon, and a baboon – who prop•er•ly ate them with a spoon.

                                                   Fleeing the Coop
Tired of reporting the poop, Sue decided to flee the "coop."
So she sailed away in her 20-foot sloop.
But after just one Caribbean loop, however, her spirits
began to droop. She then realized she had been a stupe. So
she sold her sloop and happily rejoined her old newspaper
                       group.
