Justin was awarded a scholarship to Oxford
University in the UK, where he completed a
PhD in neuro-genomics. He then returned to
Australia and completed residency training in
Neurosurgery, training at numerous hospitals
including The Alfred, Monash and Royal
Melbourne Hospitals before being awarded
a fellowship of Royal Australasian College of
Surgeons.
