Daniel
Daniel Attard is our third recipient of
the Salesian College Sunbury 2018 Hall
of Fame Award. He was given this award
for the extraordinary impact he has had on
our community.
Danny attended boarding school at Salesian
College Rupertswood in 1978 and 1979 for
Years 10 and 11. He participated in school
groups such as the Action Group and
Rupertwood Half Battery of Horse Artilery.
The local community would be familiar with
Daniel as he has lived in Sunbury since 1990
and is a leading and loyal volunteer that
attracts, engages and inspires others.
Daniel was a Formation member of the
Strathmore Venturer Unit in 1980. He worked
on the Queens Scout Award in 1981 and
assisted as a Junior leader with the 5th
Strathmore Scout Troop as part of the Service
Badge of the QS Award. He now is a Cub
Scout leader at the 3rd Sunbury Scout
Group. He spends the majority of his time
assisting others.

Scouting started for Daniel in 1970 and he
never left, even when he was at boarding
school. He also met his future wife, Debbie,
through Rover Scouts and Rangers (Girl
Guides) during their social functions.
In 2018, Daniel was awarded The Silver Emu by
Scouts Victoria for Sustained and Exceptional
Service to Scouting.
Daniel has been awarded the Hall of Fame
Award for the extraordinary impact he has had
on our community. He has been acknowledged
for his contagious positive attitude, reliability,
commitment, unwavering dedication and
community spirit.
Daniel’s daily actions capture the essence
of our Salesian College values. His great
generosity has had a profound and lasting
impact on others.
His willingness to share both his time and
talents by volunteering says a lot about
him. His willingness to give selflessly to help
others speaks to both his strength and his
quality of character.
