1. From the Technical Department :

a) Training of the 6 finger technique and CI grading was held in Montreal on Jan 21st. Detailed
report will be available in the next week;s issue.

b) A plan to conduct technical audits is in place and centres in turn will be assessed for their
technical quality and a stepwise plan will be created to take care of any shortcomings and defi-
ciencies.

2. The Mannequin Challenge has taken off with entries from UCMAS Laval QC and UCMAS West Is-
land, Montreal QC. Thank you Quebec for taking the lead. Please send in your submissions and
make this an engaging experiment for your students and CI’s.

3.The first franchise meeting will be held on Sunday, 29th. January, 2017 at the Pearl Banquet
Hall in Mississauga. Please send in your RSVP’s if you have not already done so.

4. We would like to make UCMAS Connect collaborative and invite suggestions and articles / snip-
pets / best practices / happenings at your centre. Please address all communications to
cc@ucmas.ca.

5. Canadian Franchise Association Survey.

Please send the response ASAP so that we can be eligible to be considered for the
“7 consecutive years” in a row award. That would be a “Feather in the Cap” for all of us.
