I had a situation where my landlord sold the place once my lease was up, so I had no place to live for almost 8 weeks. I spent nights in my car, I stayed at friends' places when I could, but I felt like I was being a burden. That was a really scary time for me. That is why I am in my current place, which is more expensive. I was really desperate and I could not be selective at that point. I am scared to move because I don’t know if I will find a [place] again, and I don’t want to go back to [being homeless].
