BADMINTON
            Badminton was conducted as the fourth event of Inter-house Tournament.
           The inauguration was done by Mr. Younus, faculty of science department. Af-
           ter the four badminton captains had toss, first semi-final took place between
           Sapphire and topaz. The topaz won the match against sapphire by straight
           sets. The score was 15-8, 15-14. The second semi-final took place between
           Ruby and Emerald, the emerald house won the match by getting 2 sets. The
           score was 11-15, 15-12, 15-10. The finale match was between Topaz and
           Emerald; and the Emerald house won the final match by straight two sets.
           The score was 17-16, 15-8.




                                                                                                      CRICKET

                                                                              The last two days were enthused by the cricket tournament. After the four
                                                                              cricket captains had toss, the first semi-final took place between emerald
                                                                              and topaz. The emerald chooses bowling after getting the toss. The topaz
                                                                              scored 71 runs out of 8 overs. The emerald chased only 64 and loosed by 9
                                                                              runs. The second semifinals had ruby and sapphire. Ruby chooses batting
                                                                              after getting the toss against sapphire. Ruby scored 41 runs out of 8 overs.
                                                                              The sapphire chased 42 runes by six wickets. The final match was between
                                                                              topaz and sapphire house. After getting the toss to topaz house, they were
                                                                              selected for fielding. The sapphire house scored 94 runs out of 8 overs were
                                                                              topaz chased only 49 runs and loosed by 45 runs. The highest scorer of the
                                                                              tournament was Faisal of sapphire house (55 runs, 4 sixes, 2 fours) and the
                                                                              highest wicket taker was Sulaiman (4 wickets).


                          NIMS GROUP BADMINTON TOURNAMENT





                                                                                                       The budding spirited Badminton Team of the Cen-
                                                                                                       tral School, Dubai participated in the Inter-NIMS
                                                                                                       Basket Ball Tournament - at New Indian Model
                                                                                                       School, DUBAI. In spite of playing so well the game
                                                                                                       most of the time, the Team had been placed as the
                                                                                                       2nd RUNNER-UP position.
                                                                                                       The 3-man squad led by the Coach Mr. Jobin
                                                                                                       George played with greater zeal and vigour despite
                                                                                                       the  challenging  tournament.  The  team had  their
                                                                                                       moments in the tournament and was well appreci-
                                                                                                       ated by the spectators. There were a handful of pos-
                                                                                                       itive stimuli to take from the match.
                                                                                                       The TCS Team cherished the privilege to participate
                                                                                                       in such a prestigious tournament, where the young
                                                                                                       talents could showcase and sharpen their skills.
