PARTNERSHIP WITH CHRISTIE’S & CHARITY BUZZ
Originally scheduled for April, The Elizabeth Taylor Ball to End AIDS was rescheduled due to the COVID pandemic and was held on World AIDS Day, December 1st, 2020. Transitioned to a virtual event, the one-hour broadcast featured messages from several of Elizabeth’s friends in the fight against AIDS, and many new voices of support for the work of ETAF. Thanks to our partnership with Christie’s, the event included a live-auction and a virtual auction powered by Charitybuzz. We are so grateful to our Presenting Sponsor,
Gilead Sciences, Inc., and our Diamond Sponsor, Bvlgari, and our many supporters who made this evening a success.
COMMITMENT TO END AIDS CAMPAIGN
During 2020, ETAF established the theme, “Commitment to End AIDS” for all its fundraising events and activities. Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, the philosophy was that due to the advancement of science and health related therapeutics, we can end the AIDS Epidemic--- only the resources were needed.
Commitment to End AIDS brought on a whole new meaning as the impact of COVID-19 on the world grew. We were now facing two global pandemics--- but yet, had the ability to end one, the HIV/AIDS pandemic. Again, only the resources were needed.
ETAF is proud to have raised nearly $600,000 in 2020 with our Commitment to End AIDS Campaign.
