40 YEARS OF HIV
LOOKING FORWARD 2021
We are in the process of planning The Elizabeth Taylor Ball to End AIDS which will consist of a seated dinner for 350 guests, a live auction in partnership with Christie’s, and entertainment. All proceeds from the evening will benefit The Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation. It will take place on Friday, September 17, 2021 in Los Angeles, California.
2021 also marks the 30th Anniversary of The Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation. We will launch a 14 month fundraising campaign to commemorate Elizabeth’s bold voice in fighting for those with HIV and AIDS and to look towards the future of ETAF in our commitment to end AIDS.
While ETAF is recognizing its 30th Anniversary, we do so within the solemn context of the
40th anniversary of the discovery of HIV on June 5, 2021. We grieve the lives lost during this
40 year period and commend the scientific, therapeutic and societal achievements that have
both saved the lives of people living with HIV and prevented the risk of people being infected with HIV.
