                                       75.  THE   DAY   OF   RESURRECTION
                                                   (AL-QIYAMAH)
                                      In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
                                  1 By the Day of Resurrection, to learn this revelation:  17  We
                                  2  and by the self-reproaching Ourself shall see to its collection
                                       3
                                  soul! Does man think that We and recital.  18  When We have
                                  cannot [resurrect him and] bring recited it, follow its words
                                                                      19
                                  his bones together again? attentively;  and then, it will be
                                  4 Indeed, We have the power to for Us to make its meaning clear.

                                  restore his very finger tips!  Yet  20 Truly, you love immediate
                                                                21
                                  man wants to deny what is ahead gain  and neglect the Hereafter.

                                  of him:  he asks, ‘When is this  22  Some faces will be radiant on

                                  Day of Resurrection to be?’  But that Day,  looking towards their
                                                                  24
                                  [on that Day], when mortal sight Lord;  and some faces will on

                                  is confounded,  and the moon is that Day be gloomy,  dreading

                                  eclipsed,  when the sun and the some great affliction.  But when
                                                        10
                                  moon are brought together,  on [man’s soul] reaches the throat,
                                  that Day man will ask, ‘Where  27  and when it is asked: ‘Could
                                  can I escape?’  11  But there is any magician save him now?’;
                                  nowhere to take refuge:  12 on  28  and he knows that it is the time
                                  that Day, to your Lord alone is of parting;  29 when his legs are
                                  the recourse.  13  On that Day, brought together [when affliction
                                  man will be told of all that he has is combined with affliction];
                                  sent before and what he has left  30  on that Day he will be driven

                                  behind.  Indeed, man shall be a towards your Lord!
                                  witness against himself,  15  in  31  He neither believed nor

                                  spite of all the excuses he prayed,  but rejected the Truth
                                                                          33
                                  may offer.                 and turned away!  Then he went
                                    16 [Prophet], do not move your off to his people, swaggering.
                                  tongue too fast in your attempt  34  Woe to you, [O man!], yes,
