                                  woe to you.  35 Again, woe to leech-like clot; then God shaped
                                  you, [O man!], yes, woe to you! and fashioned him in due

                                               76.  MAN    (AL-INSAN)

                                      In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

                                  1  Was there not a period of time will spread far and wide;  they

                                  mentioning?  2  We created man it, to the poor and orphans and

                                  from a drop of mingled fluid so captives,  saying, ‘We feed you
                                  that We might try him; We gave for the sake of God alone, we
                                  him hearing and sight;  3  We seek neither recompense nor
                                  showed him the way, whether he thanks from you.  10  Truly, we
                                  be grateful or ungrateful.  fear from our Lord a woefully
                                    4  [Now,] behold, for those who grim Day.’  Therefore, God will

                                  deny the truth, We have prepared ward off from them the woes of
                                  chains, iron collars and a blazing that Day, and make them find
                                  fire, but  5  the righteous shall brightness and joy,  12  and their
                                  drink from a cup mixed with the reward for being patient will be
                                  coolness of kafur, a  6 a spring a Garden and silk [clothing].
                                  from which God’s servants will  13  Reclining upon couches, they
                                  drink, making it gush forth in will find therein neither the heat

                                  branches.  They keep their vows
                                  and fear a day the woe of which  a  Camphor—a sweet smelling herb.
