Facilities Management




           Introduction


           Facilities management can be defined as a profession that encompasses multiple disciplines to ensure functionality
           of assets and the built environment by integrating people, place, process, equipment and technology. From this            FACILITIES MANAGEMENT
           definition, we understand facilities management to be the coordination of a facilities operations meant to make
           the organization as a whole more effective at what it does. Facilities management can also be explained as your
           facilities – the building itself and everything inside, both individuals and objects – as its own living being. Facilities
           management is responsible for making sure everything works harmoniously together, and the facility manager is
           responsible for keeping the facility alive. The term ‘facility’ refers to any range of establishments that serve a greater
           purpose such as providing goods and services. In the most traditional sense, this refers to factories and offices,
           but the term facilities also include schools, jails, sports complexes, hospitals, hotels and retail establishments. The
           following points can be taken into account regarding facilities management:




           •   Prepare schedules to inspect and maintain all equipment installed in the venue as per supplier
               specifications
           •   Pre and Post event venue check list schedules preparation and completion

           •   Pre and Post venue sign over and sign back with client

           •   Post event venue damages assessment
           •   Venue greening initiatives

           •   Precinct Area – Inspect clean and maintain

           •   Internal Site Areas – Inspect clean and maintain
           •   Regular Cleaning – Inspect and clean all internal and external site areas

           •   Painting of Structures – Inspect and maintain all areas that must be painted

           •   Façade – Inspect and maintain

           •   Roof – Inspect and maintain
           •   Electronic IT Network – Inspect and maintain as per supplier specifications

           •   Electronic CCTV System – Inspect and maintain as per supplier specifications

           •   Electronic Fire Detection – Inspect and maintain as per supplier specifications

           •   Electronic Audio Evac – Inspect and maintain as per supplier specifications
           •   Electronic Ticketing System – Inspect and maintain as per supplier specifications

           •   Electronic Access Control Systems – Inspect and maintain as per supplier specifications

           •   Electronic LED, LCD Screens – Inspect and maintain as per supplier specifications
           •   Electronic Building Management System – Inspect and maintain as per supplier specifications

           •   HVAC – Inspect and maintain as per supplier specifications

           •   Uninterruptable Power Supply – Inspect and maintain as per supplier specifications
