The Herd that Welcomed Us
Bo Yo, I’m Bo! I’m a steadfast, unflappable 15.2 gray
Connemara gelding whose full name is Bunowen.
That’s also the name of a castle in County Galway,
so I guess that makes me Irish royalty! I’m an expe-
rienced training-level event horse whose last job
was teaching children and adults how to ride. Boy,
my resume sounds like a perfect fit for Pegasus.
Must be that Irish luck they always talk about...
Hello, dahlings! La Caarisma here, and I’m
so much more than a pretty face. I’m a 15-
hand Arabian mare born circa 1999 in the
great state of Iowa, and I worked for years
as an endurance horse with my owner. My
program schedule at Pegasus is quite a bit
different, but I have adapted beautifully. I
love my students and have flawless man-
ners. I’m also a quick thinker and very ea-
ger to do the right thing the first time.
Yo, I'm Vinny (a.k.a. Vinston, but only my mom calls me
that)! I'm a chestnut Danish Warmblood gelding born in
Caarisma
1995. I was imported to the States when I was five and
have been with my current owner ever since. We learned
dressage together, and over the last few years, I've been
helping other students learn dressage as well. I'm known
to be very tolerant, sweet and loving, and I've been an
excellent partner for our students. In particular, I'm an
unmounted program superstar, and I LOVE young chil-
Vinny dren! If you need a horse hug, I'm totally your guy! Eliza
Goedemorgen! Venice is my name. Can you guess where my
Venice breed comes from? (Hint: The national flower is the tulip.
Surprise! I am a tall dark and handsome Friesian horse from the
Netherlands. 16.1 hands high. I am gentle and docile, and look
to my riders and handlers for cues. My gaits are lively and super
comfortable. And I just love to dance and show off my dressage
moves. Fun fact: It’s believed that my ancestors carried knights
in armor. Calling all knights and maidens-our journey together
awaits.
Who is that lovely, statuesque lady in gray, you ask? Why it’s me,
Eliza! I hopped the pond from Europe in 2016 and worked as a
jumper (see what I did there?) before joining the Pegasus team.
I’m a bright, inquisitive 17.2 Holsteiner mare, and though I’m a big
girl, I’m very gentle, well-mannered and level-headed. I love atten-
tion, so be sure to come visit me!
