100 walkers stride out
Fill your flask and pull on your hiking boots. Deborah Wain reports that the 15-mile circular walking route around S18 is back in business
M ORE than 100 walkers turned out for the official re-launch of the Dronfield Barn
Rotary Walk.
Over £1,000 has been spent repairing stiles and
cutting back vegetation along the route measuring almost 15 miles.
NE Derbyshire MP Lee Rowley cut the tape to ‘allow’ walkers to leave in glorious weather.
Walk Wardens have volunteered to look after particular sections of the walk and are doing a great job.
Guides to the walk, including lots of information about features, buildings and wildlife along the route, are available for £3 from Dronfield Library, Steel's Ironmongers and other local outlets.
A horse and a hiker enjoy the route in glorious sunshine
