Dominic Avant
Dominic Avant received a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts at Rhode Island School of Design. Upon completion at RISD he worked as a free-lance illustrator. He was then recruited by Walt
Disney Feature Animation and worked on numerous feature  lms. It was this creative community that introduced him to plein air painting. Avant feels plein air painting plays an essential role in being a represen- tational artist. His strong sense of light, vivid color,  uid brush work is a direct re- sult of his many hours invested in the  eld. His plein air works include  eld studies to larger multi session pieces. Dominic is also recognized as one of the country’s  nest  g- urative painters. He has won high honors in national and international competitions. David Boyd Jr
David Boyd, Jr. 1973 at- tended the Savannah Col- lege of Art and Design and graduated in 1995 with a degree in Illustration. After teaching art at the middle and high school level for
18 years, Boyd shifted from the classroom to painting full time. In 2016, Boyd founded the Studio School at Three Hearts Farm where he teaches oil painting and drawing from life. Boyd also teaches workshops across the southeast. Boyd is an avid outdoor painter and is an active member of several groups in- cluding the Plein Air Painters of the South- east, Portrait Society of America, American Association of Marine Painters, Oil Painters of America, Laguna Plein Air Painters Asso- ciation and he is a Signature Member with the American Impressionists Society. Katie Cundiff

career. She realized a long held dream, and in 1993, Mary began painting professionally. Preferring to work on location, in the tra- dition of painters since the French Impres- sionists, Mary travels extensively. Whether solitary excursions (like scouring the coast of Maine for painting sites with her rescue dog, Maggie) or group efforts with other pro- fessionals or students, Mary believes these painting trips are essential to an artist’s ca- reer and growth. A lifelong conservationist, Mary’s 39 acre residence in North Carolina is an artist retreat and bird sanctuary. Mary is a founding member of SPAA (Southern Plein Air Artists,) a member of The Group of Eight, and The Florida Four. Mary Garrish
Mary Garrish was born in Miami Beach, Florida in 1955 and served as the Presi- dent of the American Impressionist Society for 2005-2007. Her major interest is plein
air landscapes and other representational art. She paints annually around the world. When asked about leaving a career in surgery for full time painting, Mary replies “I was pulled to art, not pushed from medicine.”
Mary has devoted intense study in both her studio and in regular workshop participation with many of the great landscape artists of this era. Her art hangs in galleries and pri- vate collections around the United States.
