INTRODUCTION & ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

The 'Child and Youth Financial Literacy Program' is sponsored by the State Bank of Pakistan under their
National Financial Literacy Program that commenced in 2012 and is being implemented by Enclude, a

global advisory rm specialized in nancial literacy and nancial inclusion.

The key objective of this initiative is to provide basic nancial education to children and youth and train
them for their future roles as social and economic actors for the betterment of their communities and

country.

We sincerely hope that the information contained within this document will provide a holistic learning
experience and help the students embrace knowledge and skills harnessed from both inside and outside the

classroom.

We would like to thank the team at the State Bank of Pakistan for providing the vision and support for this

SAMINA & HER FAMILY
Throughout this learning material and the accompanying e-learning content, we will be following the

stories of Samina's life, who becomes a successful business person in the future, and the choices that she
and her family had to make in to achieve this. In these stories we will be introduced to various characters
particularly:

Raza - her school going brother
Naz – her mother who is a school teacher
Ahmed – her father, who runs a fruit stall
