AN INTERVIEW WITH THE HOMEOWNER
This is a truly wonderful place to live and the many wonderful neighbors have made it this
way. Our neighborhood has been pretty much the same since our kids were small. They
grew up with many of the neighborhood kids and have been baby-sitting for the younger
families along the way. The street is just now starting to turn around again since many of the
kids my kids grew up with, are off to college. No doubt there are still kids in elementary
school in the neighborhood and we do also have the birth of new babies as well. Several
families have been here far longer than we have, that just goes to show how wonderful this
neighborhood really is for so many. I can also re-call a few families that moved to
neighboring towns and kept visiting or doing drive-bys. No doubt they missed this wonderful
place and we will too.
Although we sit just below the street level, our home is half way up the back tree line! What
a wonderful place to be, sitting high above with the ability to see the pool down below
and the gated entrance to Brett Woods. Our blue stone patio spans the entire back of our
home and this has been a great place to view the property after a long day of work. The
pergola garden was our last project. It was a vision that came to us because the grass just
seemed a bit boring. With the addition of the fiberglass pergola, pathway, plantings, a set
of large bronze children holding the flower basket and the hammock, this special place
was created. How nice it is after a day in the pool to hang out on the hammock and eat a
Popsicle. Whether it is winter or summer, this garden is truly a site to see.
Privacy, privacy, privacy and on a cul-de-sac! The noise we hear is the noise we make! The
landscape lighting in the front and all the way down the back of the property is really
special. The pergola is also draped with lights and gives off a dreamy glow in either summer
or winter.
