Q: WHAT MADE YOU FALL IN LOVE?

A: I fell in love with this house because I wanted to live by the beach and it was a new
construction. I walked in and knew it was my dream house! It has such an amazing
piece of property for being by the beach. All of the tiles, fixtures and detail that the
builder and their designer put into it made me love it! I love the neighborhood feeling it
has and being around the beauty of the Sound every day.
Q: DID YOU DO ANY RENOVATIONS AFTER MOVING IN?

A: I didn’t have to do much, but I did add a few things. I had the closet built under the staircase
and it is a great space for whatever you want to store in there! Glass doors were added
to the fireplaces in the family room and master bedroom. I also added the garage door
organizational system because I like an organized garage. I had Royal Closet redo most of the
closets inside because I wanted them to look clean and organized, while maximizing storage
space. I added the outdoor lighting and changed some of the flower beds because I love
peonies and hydrangeas. I added the phantom screen doors to the front and roof deck doors
because I love to open the doors and get the fresh ocean breezes in the house. I also added
the white fence around the front yard. The best thing I did was to install the full 36” subzero
refrigerator and freezer. I had them in my previous house and I loved them!
Q: WHY ARE YOU MOVING?

A: I want to have a pool for my kids. I am torn about leaving the beach but my kids are
swimmers and we came from a home that was twice the size in property and house. Given
my kids' ages currently and the current global situation, while I will miss the beach, I do
want a pool for them because they love it.
Q: WILL YOU MISS YOUR NEIGHBORS?

A: The neighborhood is great. They have an annual block party in August/September most
years. People walk by and stop and talk all the time. Halloween and 4th of July also
brings everyone out and people are very friendly. While there are some people only living
here in the summer, you get to know everyone because everyone is always outside and
friendly. It is like a summer beach vacation for many months!
Q: TELL US ABOUT THE GROUNDS:

A: I love the back patio and it’s almost an outdoor living room with an outdoor bar area,
tv, string lights, and fireplace in the sitting area. We grill a lot and have a movie night
outside. It’s fun in the fall to watch a sports game on TV and enjoy a fire out there as
well. The front yard is great for kicking a soccer ball and playing. The sprinkler system
is in all the flower beds and the large flower pots. The front yard and backyard are fully
fenced in and great for a dog. There is also an invisible dog fence around the property to
add security. I have a peonies garden by the north east fence, roses at the south end of the
house, and hydrangea all over the property. There is always something blooming from May
to September!
Q: WHAT MAKES PROPERTY SO SPECIAL?

A: We are on a double lot in the beach area and I love it. While the house is big, we have a great
back patio for entertaining and a great front yard for playing. Despite the size of the property
and the proximity of other houses, this house was built in a way to make it feel very private inside
as well as outside. Many houses in this beach area do not have as much space outside!
