And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are
the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good
things! (Romans 10:13 ̶ 15)
And Jesus answering said unto him, Suffer it to be so now: for thus it becometh us
to fulfil all righteousness. Then he suffered him. And Jesus, when He was baptized,
went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him,
and He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon Him:
And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, In Whom I am well
pleased. (Matthew 3:15 ̶ 17)
Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the
kingdom of His dear Son: In Whom we have redemption through His blood, even
the forgiveness of sins: Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of
every creature: For by Him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are
in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or
principalities, or powers: all things were created by Him, and for Him:
(Colossians 1:13 ̶ 16)
In Whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not,
lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should
shine unto them. For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and
ourselves your servants for Jesus’ sake. For God, who commanded the light to
shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge
of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. (II Corinthians 4:4 ̶ 6)
But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may
be of God, and not of us. We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are
perplexed, but not in despair; Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not
destroyed; Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that
the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body. For we which live
are alway delivered unto death for Jesus’ sake, that the life also of Jesus might
be made manifest in our mortal flesh. So then death worketh in us, but life in
you. We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and
therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak; Knowing that He
which raised up the Lord Jesus shall raise up us also by Jesus, and shall present us
with you. For all things are for your sakes, that the abundant grace might through
the thanksgiving of many redound to the glory of God.
(II Corinthians 4:7 ̶ 15)
For the stone shall cry out of the wall, and the beam out of the timber shall answer
it. Woe to him that buildeth a town with blood, and stablisheth a city by iniquity!
