Helen Keller: A Voice for the Silent
Helen Keller: A Voice for the Silent

Hello, people from all over the world. I’m Helen Keller. Yes, I know what you think about me. You
think that she is blind and deaf so how can she live like that because you think that it is shameful to live

with other people’s help. Yeah, it is true. I live with other people’s help and care but what is wrong with

it? I did not do anything bad to all of you. Why can’t you just leave it?
People with disabilities weren't born with disabilities or didn’t want to become with disabilities. You

need to put yourselves in their shoes instead of bullying them or laughing at them. They deserve your

respect. Because they lived with disabilities for their whole lives. They are human like all of you. We are

             all our god’s children.
Blind people want to see this beautiful world and your faces.

Deaf people want to hear bird chirping, happy laughs, your voices.

Mute people want to talk with you, laugh with you.

Legless people want to walk with you, run with you.
Armless people want to handshake with you, help you.

People with other type of disabilities want to communicate with you normally. They have their own

dreams. Also, they are about you. This is one of the reasons why you need to respect them.
Now I am going to say some ways to communicate and help people with disabilities.

For blind people, you can lead them, talk to them because they can talk too. For deaf and mute people,

you can spend time with them because they can see you. For legless and armless people, you can help

them to do stuff and spend time together because they have their own reason to be like that. If you give
them exceptionally good care, they will be able to do stuff like you. Because every person has potential.

For example, I can read and write. Also, I wrote a lot of books. I can do stuff like you. I know that I am

better than many of you. Because you don’t have disabilities but many of you didn’t become successful

like me. I could do this because my servant taught me how to do it. She took care of me very well.
So from now on, help people with disabilities, teach them everything you know, and take care of them.

Treat them better than you did before. I hope you understood what I meant, people from all over the

             world.
