Most divorce cases happen for young couples
Although more Singaporeans are marrying at a later age, most divorces happen to young adults who are in
their twenties. This can be a consequences of couples rushing to get married as they have successfully applied
for their Build To Order (BTO) flats which is encouraged by the society. Because of the differences they have,
they might often disagree with each other, leading to frequent arguments. However, most of them might not
learn to accept each other’s differences when they start to live together and go on to their separate ways.
