Leading Change: Building a Team for the Future
Scott Carbonara, Keynote Speaker and “The Leadership Therapist”
Change is the new norm in healthcare. As soon as an organization reaches compliance with the
latest mandate, a new change is introduced with its own challenges. How can leaders develop the
skills required to lead their teams through any change—into the future of healthcare? The answer
is not what you think! During Scott’s tenure as an executive leader in a multibillion dollar healthcare
company, Scott learned how to lead change. He became an expert on change, something no one
else in the organization knew how to address. The initiatives he led saved the company a fortune
and spearheaded change management for every sweeping change inside his organization. In this
session, healthcare leaders will learn how to—
• Manage the emotional parts of change (and by the way, all change is emotional)
• Serve as the expert on company culture
• Create strategic key messages during times of change
• Anticipate push-back to change through targeted education
Scott Carbonara is a keynote speaker, author, and consultant who is passionate about engaging a company’s greatest asset: its
people. Known as “The Leadership Therapist” for his diverse background–from serving as an award-winning crisis counselor, to
executive chief-of-staff of a multi-billion-dollar company—Scott has spoken for such esteemed groups as SAS, Wal-Mart, AT&T
Global, multiple healthcare systems, and the federal government. He is the author of several leadership books including A Manager’s
Guide to Employee Engagement (McGraw Hill). Scott breathes life into topics including employewe engagement, culture, change
management, communication, and customer service.
