A Mindful New Year in 2020

Submitted by Soror Tiffany H. Taft

Mindfulness is an awareness that something is That’s it. Just 5 minutes in any part of your day that
happening; that the thought occurred. You allows for this sacred space. Stay longer if you de-
acknowledge the thought and then let it go. No sire. Breathe and move in this space at your own
need to work it, decide it, or worry over it. Let it pace.
in, and let it go. How will you spend your 365
days, 525,600 minutes, 1440 precious minutes
each day? Will you finally commit to honestly do Verse of reflection: “And be not conformed to this world,
at least one thing for you? Do a new thing? but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that
Renew your mind and body? You cannot ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and per-
continue to pour from an empty cup and give of fect will of God”
what you just don’t have. You commit a true
disservice to yourself and to others when you are …..Romans 12:2
          not fully present.

The year 2020 is a year of Vision and Innovation.
Move with intention and purpose. Quiet the
Mind. Get in alignment. When is the last time
you really felt in touch with your inner self? If
you find it difficult to answer that question, you
are not alone and have just identified an area that
you choose to do more, be more, and show up.
Lay the groundwork for living a more purposeful
and generative life in the new year and beyond.
Resolve to be present. To breathe. To be more
          mindful. To evolve!
