Keys to break out the barriers and to lead a successful
implementation of taking off software to construction industry
of Sri Lanka.

In building industry, there is a significant gap between the development
of new technologies and innovation. Overcoming that gap should be done
with proper planning and implementation. A deep pre- study should be
done and be ready to face the issues and have precautions to overcome
it. And proper driver should be identified to overcome the uncertainties.

Proper installation and configuration of software and the proper usage often
are not seen as a cost factor when it comes to deciding on which software
to acquire. There is hardly an understanding of what an implementation
plan serves for. Cooperating in creating an implementation plan thus ends
in being left alone and trying to deal with the acquired software and doing
the configuration all alone after struggling to be allowed to. Exchange
of experience, building of knowledge networks and joint development
can be carried off within the organization to enhance the effectiveness of
usage.

Whereas can appoint a separate section who is responsible for choosing
an appropriate software according to their capabilities and requirements
within the organization. That section should focus intensely on
implementation and even after the implementation they should oversee
whether it’s on the correct line as expected or to make any amendments.
Entering an innovation is not a simple matter, but can make it simple with
proper planning. Assigning a section with appropriate technical capability
and allowing them the time, necessary resources, and freedom to consider
a taking off software and its implementation also supporting the proper
operation.

It is recommendable to go with in-house training programs to experience
the taking off software. By means of sharing the available knowledge with
co-workers. And can go for learn while doing strategy to get expertise in
handling this software. To help implementation of taking off software
at organization wide level should adapt the environment according the
requirements of the selected taking off software. Managerial level of
the organization must involve in implementing innovative attitudes and
