At the end of stages 1 an interim evaluation is performed. If the learner fails one or more of the components
of the interim assessment, his/ her participation in the course it is not endangered due to the low weighting on
the final grade. Nevertheless, it will affect the final course grade. To be certified as being able to make complete
use of Romanian language at basic level the learner must pass individually all the tests foreseen in the
certification session. Tests are simultaneously evaluated by two to four course assessors (natives). In order
to pass these assessments, the learner needs to score at least 50% in each test and get over minimum 50% of the
course points. In case of failure there is possibility for re-sit during the next certification session. Such
procedure does not involve repeating the course. Learner will be re-examined only in connection to the
failed test(s).

Opportunities for practice and feedback

Entire online stage includes practical tasks and exercises which provide opportunities for learners to
develop and practice skills and receive feedback 24/7 from native tutors. At the end of each interim
assessment feedback is provided.
Simulations of the final tests are carried out in earlier modules to allow learners to become familiar with the
form of test and to practice and gain feedback. Samples of the practical test and of the analytical test are
provided in advance. During the certification session learners receive a final feedback on their progression
and achievements. For learners able to prove they have studied Romanian language before (covered the
topics included in Learning Creators program), recognition of prior learning applies. Participation directly
in exam is possible.

Does not meet the threshold level of competence
NEEDS required to achieve learning outcomes. Considerable
E 25% - 49.99%
IMPROVEMENT improvement required in all (or some aspects), to
demonstrate competence.

UNACCEPTABLE Unacceptable performance F 0% - 24.99%
