ASG Load Cell

APPICATIONS for an ASG Load cell:

The ASG (Acoustic Strain Gage) Load Cell Geo-Instrumentation is specifically developed for the
measurement of static forces in compression. The ASG Load Cell Geo-Instrumentation is entirely
manufactured in France and is developed by our design office with the support of the "DAO - CAD
SolidWorks ®" software. The sensor can thus be adapted by Geo-Instrumentation to any request for
specific measurements according to the technical specifications of the customer. The sensor in its
different standard or special versions is usable to measure over a long period the relative variation of
Compression forces at the top of a cable or anchor rod under environmental conditions of a civil
            engineering or industrial structure.

An anchoring cable or rod is generally implemented in a prestressed concrete structure to reduce the
effects of the mechanical weakness of the concrete of a tensioned area. Accordingly, the customer has to
measure during the exploitation of its work, the evolution of the tension of anchoring cable or rod. The
precautionary measures with the sensor have for objectives to maintain in safety and to make sure of the
good state of the observed structure. They allow verifying in advance that the limits of loads (superior or
subordinate) being able to create the irreversible disorder are not reached. Thus the ASG Load cell is
adapted to all the applications to control the evolution of compression.

 The range is minimum 20T to 1500T, the accuracy is 1%FS. The height is 228mm.
 The internal diameter is 250mm and the external diameter is 450mm.
 The temperature use can be from -20°C to +60°C.
