Referencias temporales: at the moment, now, right now, tomorrow,

3. CONTRASTE ENTRE EL PRESENTE SIMPLE Y EL PRESENTE

CONTINUO

A la hora de decidir qué tiempo verbal usar, presente simple o

presente continuo, debemos fijarnos en las referencias temporales

porque éstas nos dirán cuándo sucede la acción. Por ejemplo, si

nuestra referencia temporal es ‘at the moment’, sabemos que la

acción está sucediendo en el momento de hablar y por consiguiente

debemos expresar esa acción en presente continuo. De la misma

forma, si nuestra referencia temporal es ‘always’, estaremos hablando

de una acción que sucede con cierta frecuencia y por tanto

necesitamos un presente simple para expresar dicha acción.
