5D. Sieve system (ability to catch choking hazards) & sieve inspection process
• Where applicable, the implementation of a sieve system can help filter materials foreign to a process.
• Routine inspections should be conducted and documented for all sieves.
• All sieve systems should be validated and verified based off suppliers’ risk assessment.
Note: All FM found during routine inspections should be stored to document, educate, and create awareness of what’s being found with this equipment.
