2.3. ACCESSORIES
A. Foxfire pH Enhancer: Manufacturers standard water based, non-flammable, formulation for increas- ing alkali in masonry and cementitious substrates.
3. EXECUTION
3.1. EXAMINATION
A. Examine materials, installation surfaces, and review manufacturers instructions on site.
B. Verify mock-up has been approved prior to application.
C. Verify substrates and adjacent surfaces are free of defects, cracks, voids and damage. Do not begin work until construction has progressed to allow installation of materials.
D. Surfaces to be tested for pH-alkali levels. Substrates with pH levels lower than 9pH are to in- creased using manufacturers pH enhancer.
E. Installation deems acceptance of surfaces for a warranted installation.
3.2. INSTALLATION
A. Install according to manufacturers written instructions and onsite Foxfire Technical Representative. 1. Clean concrete joints and fill as required.
2. Repair substrate surface damage, and stop active water leaks.
3. Remove substrate contaminates, curing compounds, water repellants and previously installed
materials.
B. Horizontal and Vertical surfaces are to be sealed using low-pressure sprayer, followed by approved broom or brush distribution.
1. Apply 1st & 2nd coat of Foxfire Matrix Pro (Formerly P-1007) at a coverage rate of 150-200 SF/ GAL with Low Pressure Sprayer - Actual rate of consumption is dependent on concrete mix design, w/c ratio, and degree of porosity. Please defer to website for more detailed application guidelines
(www.foxfireusa.net).
2. Broom or brush material; removing puddles and evenly distributing material over surfaces.
3.3. PROTECTION
A. Protect surface for a period of 12 hours to prevent damage and contamination of installation.
