PEACOCK CREEK CAMPING AREA
A Pademelons and frogs emerged
half day trip from
Brisbane is a beautiful
and crowded in around the
gem of a campground in campers sitting around their
the Richmond Range
National Park called Peacock fires.
Creek Camping Area.
With Peacock Creek trickling
past around the outer
boundaries of the loosely
defined camping areas and a
lovely little shack in the middle
with its own fireplace that is
handy in wet weather, it quickly
became apparent how wildlife
friendly this
park really is.
As soon as we
pulled up we
were greeted
with willy wag
-tails and blue
breasted fairy
wrens
swarming the
car much to
the delight of
the kids. Soon
after, a
Goanna
crawled past
barely a meter from where I Basic but very well
was sitting with a Satin Bower kept amenities adorn the
Bird hot on his tail squawking a campsite with bushwalks
warning to the other birds through the rainforest a couple
around. After dark, fire flies, of kilometers away.
