The many pleasures of PCYC membership continued and grew during the 1970s with particular advances in sailing and
racing events and junior sailing. The Bell Clapper Race was started in 1973 and the wonderful tale of this race’s origins
perfectly illustrates the competitive, fun-loving, and occasionally irreverent, spirit of our members.
