P. 6
On behalf of the ANZCP executive I would like to acknowledge the ongoing difficulties we are facing in 2022 as the COVID-19 Pandemic continues to affect us all in both work and home life. The College and Board were able to pivot and provide some great ‘virtual’ content over the past two years to successfully continue to connect with our Perfusion community.
However, I believe we are ready and excited to start looking forward to reconnecting with friends and colleagues at upcoming in person scientific meetings!
I personally hope to see many colleagues at both ‘Perfusion Downunder’ in Queenstown in August as well as ‘3SCTS’ in Cairns in November and encourage you all to please attend these fantastic meetings.
We have officially started our MUSC ‘MS-ECS’ Perfusion education pathway with the intake closing March 31st, 2022 for coursework to commence September 2022 – approximately seven students have embarked on this initial intake from
Australia and New Zealand – with the final SCiP intake having closed February 2022. I’d like to acknowledge the hard work of the ANZBP and the executive as well as colleagues at MUSC in getting this up and running – and am excited that my own unit has a Trainee embarking on this journey.
CCP Recertification is now open – you should have received an email inviting you to recertify with documentation from the 2021 calendar year – I encourage you to also update your details and please also upload a photo if you haven’t already done so – this helps our community to feel more connected especially when we haven’t been able to connect in person as much as we would have liked.
Please also check out other new features of our webpage ANZCP.org - a big thank you to Andrea Hunt our Admin officer for keeping this site up to date and more engaging for users.
Wishing you a safe and enjoyable 2022 and looking forward to seeing you soon.

As part of our ongoing commitment to improving Member Benefits, we have now successfully negotiated an ANZCP membership subscription to Perfusion.
This means all financial fellows have the ability to log into Perfusion at any stage throughout the year via our website, through our Members area.
Once you are logged in the usual way to our Members area via your ANZCP membership login, you will see a drop down menu option ‘Perfusion Journal’ which will automatically take you through to the journal.
In the interests of transparency, please be aware that Sage Publishing, who own the Journal, have a standard clause whereby:
“The Society shall allow SAGE via the Society to contact the Society’s members for various purposes connected to the affiliation including but not limited to: 2.6.1. explaining to Society Members how to register for access online to the Journal; The Society shall secure permission from Society Members for SAGE to contact Society Members.”
If you are interested in accessing Perfusion, please note that you will be agreeing to this above. If you do not agree, then please do not access Perfusion. Note that we have not provided Sage publishing with members contact details or email addresses.
Please log in to the Members area to access this valuable resource.
