                RECORDING OF PERFORMANCES
The Centre records every performance by every athlete each Saturday morning and all athletes will be able to access results through the website. Trialists, athletes not in uniform and athletes who have registered that morning may not have their performances recorded.
All recorded performances are available on our website as soon as possible after competition. They are also used to select athletes for Championships. Any queries about recorded performances should be directed in the first instance to your Age Manager.
RANKED RACES
After the first two weeks, track events that are run in lanes are graded by times achieved. Within each age group, children in a given heat will be as evenly matched as possible. Gradings are reviewed throughout the season. This task is performed by our Records & Rankings team.
Events run on the inner circular track (200m & 400m) will have ranked heats; the remainder of the athletes will run in heats if time permits. However, if time is short, the balance of the age group will compete in a pack start format. This decision will be made at the discretion of the Championships and Age Manager Officer in order to complete our program in a timely manner.
LOST PROPERTY
KLAC maintains a lost property box. Unclaimed property is collected at the end of each morning and placed in this box in the amenities block. Please check its contents regularly. At the end of the season, the remaining contents of the lost property box are disposed of or donated to charity.
WEEKLY PROGRAM
Each athlete may compete in up to 6 events each Saturday morning. The events program operates on a six week cycle. The first Saturday morning is Week 1, the second Saturday is Week 2, and so on. Once Week 6 is completed, the program starts again at Week 1. If a meeting is cancelled, the cancelled program takes place the following week. These 6 weekly programs are listed in chapter 9. Please note that events scheduled for 8:00am or 8:30am are optional. Events or event order may be changed at the discretion of the Championship & Competition Officer. Any such changes will be published on our website and in the newsletter prior to the day.
LAST DAY
On the last day of the season, events will be timed or measured but no records will be established. During the morning, our Under 17 athletes will be farewelled and our State representatives will be acknowledged.
Best performance certificates for the 2023/24 season will be presented at the Ku-ring-gai Presentation Day on 28 April 2024.
