OUR PEOPLE
One of the strengths of our diverse and passionate team is the sharing of knowledge and experience to enable progress across all functions of the organisation. Several important projects this year were driven by cross- functional teams.
From delivering grant applications, to conducting a community Spin-a- thon, to operating a successful stand at the Disability Expo. All of these required staff to collaborate with co-workers outside of their immediate teams, demonstrating the power of the collective expertise that CCNB is known for.
ENGAGEMENT AND CULTURE BUILDING
Employee engagement and wellbeing has significantly improved over the last year based on the Employee Engagement survey results which saw CCNB on par with the community sector.
Many factors were attributed to the shift in employee perceptions, including consistent communication and recognition, with regular updates from the Leadership Team on strategic projects and operations to support change implementation.
Career pathways emerged during an organisation restructure to provide the benefits of functional synergies, with new
positions offering leadership and development opportunities in the Service Delivery and Community Programs teams. Six team members were promoted into leadership roles, while two team members made horizontal progression into other positions.
CCNB has established a consistent approach and cadence to external communications (to customers and service providers) and internal communications (to employees) which has kept the team involved and informed.
