In late 2022, I was lucky enough to be placed with The Way Back team at CCNB for my university work placement and was made to feel welcome and valued right from the start.
Work placement provided the opportunity to link theory to practice. Shadowing experienced workers was crucial as it added another layer to my learning journey. It provided knowledge through real life scenarios. During work placement one of the things that stood out for me was the work culture within the organisation. I loved the friendly atmosphere in the office with everyone working as a team to
achieve positive outcomes for both customers and the organisation.
On completion of work placement, I was fortunate enough to secure a full- time position as a Care Coordinator. I learn new things everyday from my knowledgeable colleagues, however, my greatest learning opportunities have come from interactions with our wonderful customers.
I am very grateful for the opportunities CCNB has provided. I value every staff member for their friendship, dedication, individuality, and wisdom. I will soon celebrate my twelve-month anniversary and cannot wait
to see where the next twelve months leads me.
