San Radiology and Nuclear Medicine (SRNM) opens at Parkway San Clinic
In February 2020, SRNM opened its new purpose-built outpatient imaging practice in Parkway San Clinic (opposite the hospital campus). Services offered at the Clinic include an ultra-low dose CT (128-slice), digital x-ray, ultrasound and interventional procedures.
The Parkway San Clinic practice also includes the Breastscreen NSW Wahroonga breast screening site relocated from Fox Valley Medical & Dental Centre and two sessional consulting suites with dedicated reception and waiting areas.
Helping advance radiological skills globally
San Radiology & Nuclear Medicine (SRNM) hosted two radiologists from Vietnam visiting hospitals in Australia to learn about quality and safety initiatives and processes employed here to ensure the safety of our patients and the quality of care provided.
Dr Vien and Dr Truong co-founded a not-for-profit organisation in Vietnam called Centre for Healthcare Improvement Research (CHIR) to improve quality
and safety for patients in public hospitals. The organisation has a network of over 25,000 clinicians
at 200 hospitals. The two representatives spent the day visiting each clinical area within SRNM, learning about patient safety measures, documentation, staff training and education, and communication processes between departments within the hospital.
The visit was coordinated through Radiology Across Borders, an organisation SRNM has worked with closely in the past and will continue to support moving forward. The doctors will be able to take their learnings and shared resources provided from the San back to Vietnam to further improve quality and safety in their hospital networks.
