„This is our new hope; it has made it to the nals for the German Red Wine Prize,“ Ludwig Kreuz- berg says as he pours the 2015 Pinot Noir Pré- coce, great growth into our glass. Fragrances of dark forest berries and black currant penetrate our nose, lling tannins ensure a long-lasting - nish. Altogether a great and high-quality convin- cing collection of the Kreuzberg vineyard.
Frank Josten and Ludwig Kreuzberg do not want this to be enough and want us to enjoy their 2014 port wine. It is sold under the name „German li- queur wine“ in the shops and has matured for three years in the barrel. It is the counterpoint of the previously tasted dry wines: 50 grams of re- sidual sugar, chocolaty notes; it has everything that can be extracted from a wine grape. I alrea- dy see myself enjoying it on an autumn evening at home by the re...
A symbiosis of wine and gastronomy
The combination of wine and gastronomy in the Ahr Valley is uniquely distinctive. The Ahr Val- ley is home to winegrower‘s houses, wine ta- verns and restaurants. The vineyard invites you to the winegrower‘s house on the promenade in Schmittmannstraße on Saturdays and Sundays. The house has ve modern double rooms and a small apartment for guests. If you are looking for a place to rest your tired head after consuming delicious wines together with barbecue speciali- ties, you will nd it in our friendly furnished guest rooms (please book in advance). Anyone who is able and wants to can also show their musical talent.
The Kreuzberg vineyard is regularly acclaimed by the media. For example the Gault Millau: „Very good producer, consistently high quality for ye- ars.“
