THREE LABS AND NOT ENOUGH HANDS...

My wife Sarah, and I love dogs but especially Labrador
Retrievers. Our 10-year-old Yellow Lab Monti got a
couple of unexpected brothers in 2018. We split our time
between our unit here at WAL and our Texas
home. Most of the time she lives there with our
Monti. Most of the time I live here at WAL alone. In
April of last year, I was feeling pretty lonely and I decid-
ed to try to find a new companion. I didn’t think that a
puppy would be best with my schedule because I live in
a condo. So, I went looking for a rescue dog.
I was introduced to Lab Rescue LRCP. They’re a non-
profit volunteer organization that rescues, fosters, and
finds forever homes for Labs who’ve experienced abuse,
neglect, and abandonment throughout Virginia, Mary-
land, West Virginia, Delaware, Pennsylvania, and North
Carolina. The Potomac, MD location paired me with a
couple of older Labs, Mack and Mason.
These two guys have really warmed up my house! They
have also helped me become more active, as they require
a lot of long walks. I have lost a bit of weight too.
The Pet community here is wonderful, and having Mack
and Mason has helped me to get out of the apartment and
meet new people. My new companions keep me a bit
busier these days!
