The admin panel of the video platform was nearing its end. There were 2 small pages left: the settings page and the
dashboard for managers. These were very small pages. The settings page consisted of a form, where you could upload a
header logo and a footer logo. Besides that, there was also the possibility to change the name of the website and the
description. There was no need for very elaborate settings.

For the dashboard of the managers, I had a talk with the company directors; the only thing that was needed for the
dashboard was general information about the amount of videos that the managers have posted. During our talk I advised
them to not use a table view, but instead make use of a graph; a graph would be much clearer, and it would give a nice
touch to it. Besides the graph we could also add the amount of videos posted yesterday, this week and last week to the
header. This would make sure the managers would always have a view of their progress and they wouldn’t need to go to
the dashboard every time they wanted to check their progress. The manager dashboard page can be seen in figure 21.

Then it was time for the showcasing and the full working of the video platform to the company directors. This didn’t take
very long; they had been coming and taking note of my progress from the beginning. It was however nice to be able to
show them a full working video platform. During this showcase we decided to name the video platform: VID+. The
company directors and I were thinking out loud, saying random names, and after combining some names we came to the
name VID+.
With the showcasing I was able to see the full project, and see what I have been working on all this time. I needed to add
videos to the video platform to be able to showcase it to the company directors; I found it best to add business videos and
tutorials to the video platform. This was one of the many topics that the video platform could be used for. The company
directors decided to give me a subdomain, and to host the project. The project can be found at http://video-
platform.madconsultancy.nl [9]. After adding a small amount of videos, the video platform started looking very busy. The
front page was not an empty page anymore, but was a page full of videos that could be watched. In figure 22 you can see
the front page of the video platform, after adding videos.
