VISUAL ARTS COURSES
• Pre-K Art Explore (Ages 2-5) (Parents should attend with 2-4 year olds) - Watch your child’s
creativity flourish before your eyes as they explore Line, Shape, Color, Form and Texture using
various art media. Activities include Painting, Drawing, Printmaking, Sculpture, Weaving, Chalk,
Collage and More! In Pre-K Art Explore!, children will get plenty of practice listening, following
directions and using tools like brushes, scissors and glue. Most courses will include a take home
masterpiece! (subject to drying time) (No Fine Arts fee as these students do not participate in
Fine Arts Festival) Instructor: Pam Boone Recommended Donation $10 per weekly session

• Passport to Art (K-2 , 3 -6 , MS & HS) - This project-based Art History Course combines
learning about real life artists, past and present, with exciting hands on art activities! From Cave
Painting to Pop Art, Claude Monet to Pablo Picasso, Cultural and Regional Art and everything in
between! A wide variety of media and art techniques are introduced to complete projects bases
on specific artists or styles. A great yearly course as projects rarely repeat. Participation in Fine
Arts Festival is required. Instructor: Pam Boone Recommended Donation $10 per weekly
session.

• ARTcetra (K-2 , 3 -6 , MS, HS, Adult) - A wide variety of art media is introduced in this
general art course. Learning about Line, Shape, Color, Texture, Value, Form and Space is fun
when you get to Create It! Students will complete projects in Drawing, Painting, Sculpture,
Printmaking, Pastels, Weaving, Collage and More! Art History facts accompany some lessons.
New projects are always being added to our ARTcetra favorites! A great yearly course as your
child grows. Participation in Fine Arts Festival is required. Instructor: Pam Boone

• Drawing Plus! (MS, HS, Adult) - The best way to learn to draw or improve your skills is to
Draw, Draw and Draw some more! Drawing Plus! will encourage you to stretch your ability while
completing fun exercises and projects using various materials. You will develop an ability to
“see” differently what you want to draw. While pencils are a common drawing tool, we will also
explore charcoal, ink, colored pencils and more! Come to the first course with a 9x12 spiral
bound sketchbook. You may use my supplies in this course and decide what tools you want to
purchase later. Participation in Fine Arts Festival is required. Instructor: Pam Boone

• Painting with Acrylics (Ages 13 and up) - This course will teach students ages 13+ to become
confident painting with acrylics. Students will learn to create their own representational paintings
from photographs. Subjects covered will include composition, color-mixing, perspective, and
basic drawing skills. Beginners welcome! Slightly younger students may be allowed with
instructor permission. Required Supplies: Each student will need their own set of paint and
brushes however Quest will purchase the supplies and student can, in turn, purchase what they
need from us. This will help all the students to have the same materials. Instructor: Della
Chelpka Recommended Donation of $12 per weekly session
• 3D Art Lab (HS & Adult) - 3-D Art Lab combines the challenge of three-dimensional art with the
opportunity for creative expression. Techniques such as Sculpture, Papercraft, Dyeing,
Weaving, Printmaking, Assemblage, Collage and more will be introduced. Students will have
creative freedom in designing, researching and completing their art projects. This course offers
instruction in some of the more advanced creative techniques. Participation in Fine Arts Festival
