• Microsoft Excel (HS-Adult) - Exploring a Business, Science, Computer Science or Mathematics
Career? Ever tried to analyze data by hand? Working on a science fair project? Interesting in
basic computer programming? This Excel course will teach a two-fold approach. We will learn
Excel’s most popular uses such as analyzing data, create spreadsheets and graphing
information. In addition, we will use Excel’s imbedded VBA language to learn the basics of
computer programming. This course will cover basic operation, charts, xml spreadsheets, and
macro programming. Whether you are analyzing data for your science fair project or looking to
design a fun old school game, this course in Excel will not disappoint. Prerequisite: None. This is
an entry level class. A laptop or tablet and access to Microsoft Excel is required. Instructor:

• Image Post-Processing with Photoshop- (9 & Up) - **May be offered in 2019-2020** Unlock
the potential of Photoshop. Using industry- standard techniques, students will apply their learning
towards practical applications such as skin-retouching, image compositing and background
replacement. This is a hands-on course. Requirements: laptop with ability to run Photoshop CC.

• Computer Fundamentals (HS-Adult) - Do your google searches fail? Have you ever wondered
how to keep your information safe? Want to design beautiful presentations or professional
looking papers? Computer Fundamentals will improve your computer skills, give you tips and
tricks for using end user programs, and boost your confidence and efficiency in this technology
focused world. This course will teach effective google searches, internet security, Windows 10,
Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other basic computer skills and programming. If technology isn’t
your favorite subject or you struggle with programs, this class will teach you everything you need
to know in a fun and friendly way. Prerequisite: None. This is an entry level class. A laptop or
tablet is required. Access to Microsoft Office and Windows is encouraged. Instructor: Jennifer

• Filmmaking (HS) - We all love movies! Movies help us experience something meaningful,
funny, profound or painful. In this Filmmaking Fine Arts course, we figure out how movies cause
us to experience something. This course is driven by a short film, 3–5 minutes long, that you will
complete by the end of the semester. To prepare for that project, you will also create a shorter
(60-second) film, write a screenplay, study film history, and watch and discuss many classic
films. We also learn about storytelling, cinematographic elements, video editing, special effects,
and film promotion. Then, at the end of it all, your films will be shown at the Quest Fine Arts
Festival. Whether you desire to work in the film industry or just want to make funny videos of
your cat playing an accordion while walking on a tightrope, this course will give you the basic
knowledge to help you reach your goals. Required Items: pending Instructor: Pending
