• Conversational Spanish (HS) – This course will be for students to practice speaking and
listening in Spanish. There will be games, activities, presentations, movie clips, music clips,
scenarios and more to get students more comfortable in the Spanish language! Homework
will consist of studying vocabulary, discovering Spanish around them and preparing fun
presentations, often in groups. The course may count for high school credit. Instructor: Ana
Castro-Eubanks, a native Spanish speaker. Recommended Donation of $10 per weekly

• Ancient Greek (HS)- This beginning course teaches students the beginning steps of how to
read the New Testament in the original language. Students should be eager and serious
about making serious progress in the language. It will aim beyond familiarity to the early
stages of comprehension and composition. Instructor: Christopher Chelpka Recommended

• French I (8 -12 ) - This course will introduce students to the basics of the French language as

spoken in Europe. Students will be taught to speak, understand, read, and write basic French
in common situations. The emphasis will be on communicating orally with an excellent accent
and reasonable grammatical accuracy. We will use the learn-memorize-practice-apply method
to help students master content using a logical, systematic progression. With a focus on
French ministry, students will learn Bible verses and worship songs in French as well.
Additionally, students will experience French culture and will have the opportunity to sign-up
for a French culinary (cooking) class to learn about French cuisine and enjoy eating it too!

• French 2 (MS & HS) - **May Be Offered 2019-2020** French 2 builds upon the skills and
language learned in French 1 while strengthening comprehension of the spoken and written
language. In this course students will continue to develop their reading, writing, and
conversational abilities while practically applying what is taught rather than simply memorizing
information. Students will continue to learn Bible verses and worship songs, as well as can
sign-up for a French culinary (cooking) course to learn about French cuisine and enjoy eating it
