• Math Mania (2 -5 ) - 1, 2, 3, 4, Math is What We Adore!! Fun, exciting, engaging, multi-
sensory course to sharpen addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division by playing math
games which bring out kids’ natural love of numbers. Strategies will be taught to encourage
math fact automaticity (memorization). Another goal of this course is for your child to leave
with a greater love of math. Homework will include a daily short practice of flashcards and
worksheets that focus on math strategies. Instructor: Carly Kouba Recommended donation
of $10 per weekly session
• Advanced Math Lab (HS) - This course is geared towards making secondary grade student
successful in math and science courses. We do a lot of interactive work and focus on algebra
and geometry along with graphing and using a graphing calculator. This course is also a
primary support for the math assignments in College Bound Chemistry. Students will need a
graphing calculator for the second semester. No required text Instructor: Dan Tucker
Recommended Donation of $8 per weekly session
• Pre-Algebra (MS) - Bridge the gap between basic arithmetic and a more advance study of
mathematics with Pre-Algebra. This course includes a cumulative study of previously learned
concepts plus introductions to multiplying and dividing polynomials, complementary and
supplementary angles, buying stocks and bonds, algebraic word problems, and more. With
daily exercises, examples, review exercises, Problem Solving Strategies, charts and tables,
and a glossary of terms, your child will be equipped with the tools to succeed in Pre-Algebra!
Homework: 5 daily lessons per week with practice problems, weekly open book quizzes,
closed book tests every three weeks. Textbooks required: Abeka Pre-Algebra student
workbook & Abeka Pre-Algebra Quiz & Test book. Instructor: Carly Kouba Recommended
Donation of $12 per weekly session
• Algebra I (HS) - Train your teen to think systematically as he applies the axioms, rules, and
principles of algebra! Your teen will solve linear equations that include fractions, decimals,
radicals, and absolute value expressions. He will graph, analyze, and solve two-variable
equations, inequalities, and functions, and learn much more! Throughout this course, clearly
explained concepts build upon each other section-by-section. Step-by-step instructions guide
your teen through easy-to-read examples and build a framework for solving practice
problems. Complete with daily exercises, detailed examples and diagrams, review exercises,
and a glossary of terms, your teen will be equipped with the tools he needs to succeed in
Algebra 1! Homework: 5 daily lessons per week with practice problems, weekly open book

• Geometry (HS) -In this course we get down to the foundations of two and three dimensional
spaces. We look at proofs, shapes and solids. Included is a great deal of technical language
that will be invaluable to students in Trigonometry, SAT/ACT and college placement tests.
