lder Apothecary, a charming old-fashioned store,
is located on Main Street in downtown Ashland.
It was born from a belief in wild wisdom, com-
Emunity wellness, and everyday magic. The found-
ers are mother-daughter duo Willow Holloway and Laura
Silan. Willow is a clinical herbalist and trained doula, with a
degree in microbiology and chemistry. And Laura is a sound
healer with a degree in exercise and sports science, and a
master’s in education. Together, they merge visionary earth
offerings with over 30 years of small business experience
and feel honored to be a part of Ashland.
The apothecary offers a botanical library, lounge spaces,
community teaching space, tonic bar, bulk medicinal herbs
and tinctures, and botanically-infused products of all kinds
from makeup, vinegars, body oils, salves, and more. The
bulk herbs are organic and local, coming from companies
in the Applegate Valley like Oshala Farm, Still Moon Farms,
and Pacific Botanicals. The apothecary’s bulk tinctures are
stocked by high quality makers Wise Women Herbals and
Five Flavors Herbs. The botanical library features books
on plant education from beginning herbalism to foraging
local landscapes. The tonic bar serves herbal lattes such as
Sun Milks, Rose Milks, Moringa Matcha, and Bulletproof
Coffee. Some of the brands the store features are Living
Libations, OSEA, Anima Mundi Herbals, Myriad Mycology,
and Wooden Spoon Herbs. Elder Apothecary is currently
working on an in-house product line, will be offering office
rent space for local wellness practitioners, and is building
a raw dessert and herbal tea menu to offer at the tonic bar
along with their herbal lattes.
Elder Apothecary opened the second week of December
2020 and has received quite the joyous response from
locals. They hope you will join them in creating magic,
celebrating their opening, and building community around
earth-centered wellness.
