One of those who helped Mack and her sister, Sydnee,
now an attorney in Atlanta and a former college golfer at
Hampton University, was golf instructor and coach Jim
Hart, who still remains close with the sisters and Mack’s
mother, Jean Jackson. “Mackenzie has always been a very
good goal setter, and then she goes out and always achieves
those goals,” Hart says. “What is great to see is how she
has been rewarded in her career for all of the hard work and
dedication. When she graduated with her bachelor’s degree,
we talked and I suggested she get her MBA and then also
get status with the PGA and LPGA. That’s what she did and
she really set herself apart by doing that. Mackenzie was
also always competitive and always striving to be the best
at what she does. We are all thrilled for her success.”
Due to her experiences, Mack has a unique perspective
when it comes to doling out advice to the future genera-
tion of golfers and those looking to get into the industry.
She now delivers the message in a way that she would have
listened to as a younger person. “‘Go for it’ is what I tell
