stagecoach road. Situated in Redwood National Park, Howland
Hill is mostly flat with some gentle rolling hills that run though
amazing rainforest scenery and views of the prime salmon habitat
of Mill Creek. That trail offers an optional mile long side trip,
looping through Stout Grove, one of the most scenic and famous red-
wood groves on the planet.
If you decide you need some indoor fun, head to Pithitude Gift Shop.
Located on the lower harbor in Brookings, you will surely find a cozy
sweatshirt and some hilarious, fun gifts for yourself and your friends. All
are original designs by shop owner Tamara and lovingly screen printed
by her husband Ace and her. You can also shop Pithitude products on Semi Aquatic Gallery
their website and in giftshops in the Rogue Valley.
This hardly scratches the surface for what you can discover on the
coast. But rest assured; for a day trip or an overnighter, the Northern
California and Southern Oregon Coast is a hard one to beat!
